November 2024 Releases

Responsive Hosted Payment Page (HPP) - Orbital's class leading Hosted Payment Page is going mobile (and tablet!). Regardless of the size of device or screen, customers making a deposit/payments via our HPP for the Crypto Payment Gateway product will always have the best experience for their device of choice. This release also delivers an iterative improvement to the user experience. Announcement

October 2024 Releases

Embedded Payment Page (EPP) for Crypto Payment Gateway deposits - for merchants who want to offer the most seamless checkout experience, EPP will allow the signature Orbital hosted payment flow that if offered today via HPP to be embedded into a section of the checkout screen. This user experience change of not being redirected to a separate screen to make payment enables merchants to offer the most optimal user experience which is expected to lead to higher conversion of deposits. EPP is easy to integrate with ready made npm packages and GitHub repositories (EPP integration guidance).
Confirmation of Payee for GBP beneficiaries - clients that make GBP payments to beneficiaries based in the UK via the Global Payments product will be able to verify the name of the beneficiary with the beneficiary's bank via the UK's Confirmation of Payee system. Make payments with confidence that the account being paid actually belongs to the business or individual you intend to pay. Announcement

September 2024 Releases

Binance Pay Hosted Payment Page (HPP) - this feature brings a HPP for Crypto Payment Gateway deposits that removes the distraction of other crypto payment methods only offers payment via the widely used Binance Pay. Users are able to scan the QR code or if on a mobile device, click a button to open the Binance mobile app and take them to the payment screen with the payment details pre-filled. This Binance Pay dedicated HPP allows merchants to place a widely recognisable crypto deposit method on their checkout page.
Binance Pay payouts - to compliment the existing ability for merchants to accept Crypto Payment Gateway deposits via Binance Pay, it is now also possible to payout to customers via Binance Pay directly and instantly to their Binance accounts. This payout method benefits from lower fees, faster processing and wide reach.

August 2024 Releases

Improved security for outbound payments - strong customer authentication is now in place for more secure outbound payments for the Global Payments product. When creating a new beneficiary in the Client Portal, users will be required to authenticate themselves via the same or an alternative method as was used during log in. This provides an additional layer of control over the recipients of payments.
Additional African currency support for EFX - New currencies added for Orbital's Exotic Foreign Exchange product. June 2024 Releases

Webhook trail for Crypto Payment Gateway notifications - gone are the days of reaching out to customer support to request details of webhooks! When viewing the details for a payin or payout in the Client Portal, all webhooks that were issued for that payment can be viewed right then and there. Previously sent webhooks can also be re-sent directly from the Client Portal and will be delivered to the already configured webhook URL. Announcement

May 2024 Releases

USDC and USDT on Binance Smart Chain - expanded merchants ability to accept stablecoin deposits for the Crypto Payment Gateway. Merchants are able to benefit from lower network fees fees, faster transaction processing and integration with the broader Binance ecosystem. Announcement

April 2024 Releases

Auto-refunds of Crypto Payment Gateway deposits - following up from the Flexible Crypto Payment Gateway deposits functionality released in January 2024, this release brings automation for deposits that are to be returned because the amount received is outside of the configured lenience/tolerance. The user who made the deposit is able to self serve the refund, freeing up your operational capacity for other more complex tasks.
Improved conversion creation interface in the Client Portal - tweaks and improvements to the flow for initiating currency conversions between accounts on the Global Payments product. These improvements pave the way for future improvements to the conversion experience.

March 2024 Releases

Improved authentication experience during login to the Client Portal - on login, users are simply redirected within the same window to securely complete multifactor authentication in a seamless flow with no additional windows popping up (and no pop up blockers getting in the way!).

February 2024 Releases

Improved management of Crypto Payment Gateway activity in the Client Portal - easily manage all of your instances (view payins and payouts, download reports, manage API keys and webhook URLs) with an intuitive entity switcher.

January 2024 Releases

Flexible Crypto Payment Gateway deposits - with the introduction of configurable leniency on deposits, merchants are able to to customise under and over payment percentage based thresholds for deposits made via the invoice payment method.
