The Orbital Sandbox is a testing and simulation environment designed to help you build and validate your API integration before going live.

The Sandbox is a functional simulation. It does not connect to live financial rails, real currencies, or production ledgers. Any balances, transactions, or funds appearing are strictly for testing purposes and hold no monetary or legal value.

Gaining Access

When your Sandbox Account is set up, Orbital will provide you with a Client Portal login for the Sandbox environment. From the Client Portal, you can create an Orbital API Application and create eCommerce API keys - all applications created in the Sandbox environment will be simulations only - with no connection to live financial rails.

Top Up Your Sandbox Accounts

You will automatically be provided with some Sandbox accounts for both Treasury Solutions and eCommerce.

For Treasury Solutions: ETH, USDT (TRX), EUR, GBP, USD

For eCommerce: TST, TETH, EUR, GBP, USD

Sandbox accounts are not pre-funded.

To add simulated funds to your Treasury Solutions accounts, use the top-up endpoint, providing the account ID and the amount you wish to add.

To add testing funds to your eCommerce accounts, follow the guidance to get started and use the Pay-Ins endpoints.

Start Testing

With your account funded, you can now test the full API suite:

You can log in to the Sandbox Client Portal at any time to monitor your activity and verify that your integration is working as expected - tracking transactions, reviewing beneficiary statuses, and inspecting webhook delivery history (including resending webhooks).

Moving to Production

Access to the production environment is subject to the completion of your full onboarding with Orbital. When you are ready to go live, Orbital will provide you with a new Client Portal login - which will provide access to the live environment.

You will retain access to your Sandbox account and can use it at any time.
