How to Approve and Reject Transactions
When transaction approval rules are enabled, payments to external beneficiaries and internal transfers to E-commerce accounts require review before they're processed. Approvers review and either approve or reject the transaction. This creates a secure approval workflow where designated reviewers check and authorize transactions created by other users before Orbital processes them.
Who Can Approve Transactions?
Users in the designated approval group can review and approve transactions. The approval group is set up when the approval rule is first enabled by a Super Admin or modified by a Super Admin or Admin. Onnce the required number of approvals is met, the transaction is submitted to Orbital for processing
How the Approval Process Works
When a user creates a transaction to an external beneficiary or E-commerce account. The transaction enters the Approval Queue instead of being processed immediately. The designated approvers receive an email notification or in th client portal you'll see a notifcation on the letytiny you knw Approval Queue section,
- Click on a transaction to expand its details and review the transaction information carefully.
- Once the transaction meets the mark, Click Approve.
If additional approvals are still needed:
- The transaction remains in the approval queue
- It will show as approved by you
- The display shows how many approvals have been received and how many are still required
If all required approvals are met:
- The transaction is immediately submitted to Orbital for processing
- The transaction creator receives an email summary with an estimated delivery time
- The transaction status changes to Pending while being processed, then Completed after successful execution
Once a transaction has been approved by the required number of approvers, it is immediately submitted to Orbital for processing. You may not be able to cancel the transaction after submission.
How to Reject a Transaction
Use this if you identify issues with a transaction and need to cancel it.
- On the top right of the page, click the dropdown menu.
- Select Transaction Approval.
- In the Approval Queue section, click on a transaction to expand its details.
- Review the transaction information carefully.
- Click Reject.
What Happens Next?
- The transaction is immediately cancelled
- The transaction is removed from the approval queue for all reviewers
- Funds are immediately returned to the debit account
- The transaction status changes to Cancelled
This action is not reversible. If you reject a transaction in error, it will need to be re-created by the original user.
